Sunday, July 12, 2015 at 18.30 at Palazzo Ducale in the Halls of the Munizioniere, inaugurated the second edition of the Biennale d’Arte Contemporanea Le Latitudini dell’Arte. The exhibition, organized by the Association for the Social Promotion of Culture ART Commission, in collaboration with Palazzo Ducale Fondazione per la Cultura and the Hungarian Consulate in Genoa, was born with the aim of encouraging the artistic exchange between Italy and other countries.
After Finland, protagonist of the first edition, for 2015 the choice fell on another European country of solid artistic traditions, such as Hungary.
The exhibition with the participation of seventy artists, 35 Hungarians and 35 Italians, is curated for Hungary by Márta Simonffy, director of the Hungarian Association of Figurative and Applied Artists of Budapest, and for Italy by Virginia Monteverde, President of Art Commission, creator and curator of the event. Saturday, July 25 at 18:00: The art of the third millennium: Brave countries and innovative formulas, the new frontiers of the market. The meeting is curated by Bettina Bush, journalist, collaborator of important art magazines and Repubblica. Speakers: journalist from La Stampa Fiorella Minervino, Gioia Mori, art curator and journalist, director of the monthly magazine Art e Dossier from 1986 to 2008, the Italian art critic Viana Conti, the Hungarian art critic and historian Sulyok Miklós and Rocco Guglielmo (Rocco Guglielmo Foundation), current artistic director of the Marca, Museum of Arts of Catanzaro.
The Biennale is open until Monday, August 17, every day from 15.30 to 19.00.
