Alessio Delfino was born in Savona on 5 March 1976. He lives in Albisola and works in Savona.<\/p>

He discovered photography at a very young age, through the darkroom, his studies in chemistry and his friendships with artists. Since his first solo exhibition in Genoa in 2002, he has developed his research in series (Des Femmes<\/em>, Femmes d\u2019or<\/em>, Metamorphoseis<\/em>, Tarots<\/em>, R\u00eaves<\/em>, Ex Tenebris Lux<\/em>), always centred on the female body and identity.<\/p>

He has exhibited in Italy and abroad, with solo shows in New York, Seoul, Paris, Brussels and Berlin. He took part in the 54th Venice Biennale (2011), and his works are held in the collection of MART, the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto.<\/p>

In 2025 he presented Wunderkammer<\/em> at Galerie Eulenspiegel in Basel, a series of female portraits made with a large-format view camera and hand-printed in analogue. He is now continuing his research with wet collodion, the photographic process introduced in 1851, in which every image is a unique piece, prepared, exposed and developed by hand within a few minutes. In the age of artificial intelligence and digital manipulation, this choice becomes a stand for reality, for materiality and for the direct encounter between photographer and subject.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
